what is the strongest hammock stand on the market?

We tried the hollow aluminum type and after about 6 months, it folded in. I don’t have trees to tie it too. Any suggestions?

What is a good gardening project?

My Parents have bought a large piece of land. And although us kids are fully grown we often go up on the weekends. My parents have done alot on the land. The have a veggie garden, flower patch, picnic area, patio, outdoor pizza oven, new trees planted and a raised garden area.

And there is still heaps of land that feels like it needs something there.

Over summer (Dec-Feb) I want to start a project to do with my brother during the weekends.

I thought about a hammock, but that projects too small. Or a mini-put course, but that projects too big.

Any ideas???

Leo & The Tree Tent

This is one for anyone who appreciates alternative holiday making! My mate Erik designed this portable super-hammock-thing (referred to as “the tree tent” although not developed as far as to have any roof at this stage). He was very interested in making more use of trees, and the idea of urban camping in trees, so when I said I was going to London, he was keen for me to try the thing out there. My visit also happened to coincide with a large event at the Area 10 artist space in Peckham, where similar designs were being exhibited, so I was given the assignment of camping in a tree in central London before handing the “tent” over to Dimitri and Joel from Area 10. If it hadn’t been for the fact that I lost my passport, and couldn’t get home to Norway when planed, I would never have taken the time to visit Area 10 and attend the event. Fate had it that I did get to see the event, and to meet some of the wonderful and creative dudes behind the project in Peckham, and I have since been back with other projects from Bergen and the Wrap arts centre. I chose to camp in London Fields because I lived in that neighbourhood for several years and The Pub On The Park seemed like a very appropriate place to meet the people from Area 10. Before I got to the park I went out to an event at the ICA with my mate Paul, who tried to persuade me against the tree tent thing. He thought someone would probably kill me. I know people have been killed around there – but seriously people: London isn’t

I need to find a hammock that is portable?

you know the ones that you can fold into a bag and hang up on trees, I think they are called parachute hammocks or something? But I am looking for one that is cheap and not tight down the middle, you know one that i can sink into to. Thank You! HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING
